Please note – Further works will be carried out on A256 New Haine Road, Ramsgate. Works will be carried out between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, from 5th July 2024, with estimated completion by 6th July 2024.

Walker Construction UK Ltd - 20MPH Speed Limit & Temporary Road Closure - A256 New Haine Road - 25th September 2023 (Thanet District)

It will be necessary to impose a mandatory 20MPH speed limit & close part of A256 New Haine Road, Ramsgate from 25th September 2023 with estimated completion by 2nd December 2023.

A256 New Haine Road will have a 20MPH mandatory speed limit imposed, from 25th September 2023, with estimated completion by 1st December 2023 between the junctions of A256 New Haine Road roundabout with Haine Road and A256 New Haine Road roundabout with New Cross Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A256 New Haine Road will be closed, from 13th November 2023, with estimated completion by 2nd December 2023, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, between the junctions of A256 New Haine Road roundabout with Haine Road and A256 New Haine Road roundabout with New Cross Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Haine Road, A254 Margate Road, A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 Canterbury Road West A299 Canterbury Road West and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing road works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Walker Construction UK Ltd.
