Walker Construction UK Ltd - Temporary Road Closure & 20MPH Speed Limit - A256 Haine Road, Ramsgate - 6th May 2024 (Thanet District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Walker Construction UK Ltd, it will be necessary to close part of A256 Haine Road, Ramsgate, in 2 phases as a rolling closure, from 6th May 2024 with estimated completion by 18th May 2024.

A mandatory 20MPH speed limit will be imposed on part of A256 Haine Road, Ramsgate, between the junctions of A256 New Haine Road and A256 Canterbury Road West, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Phase 1 - A256 Haine Road will be closed between the junctions of B2050 Manston Road and A256 Canterbury Road West, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Phase 2 - A256 Haine Road will be closed between the junctions of B2050 Manston Road and Leigh Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, Pearce Signs Roundabout, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place, A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, A255 Nethercourt Hill, Nethercourt Circus, A255 Canterbury Road East, A299 Canterbury Road East, A256 Canterbury Road West A256 Haine Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing construction works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Walker Construction UK Ltd.
