Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to impose a temporary mandatory 20 mph speed restriction on part of A299 Thanet Way, Herne & Broomfield, Chislet & Birchington, from 6th May 2025, with estimated completion by 21st May 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The 20 mph speed restrictions on A299 Thanet Way will be imposed in both directions between the St Nicholas at Wade roundabout and the Eddington off slip, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while preservation works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
