Residents are being asked to share their experiences of using pharmacies to help Kent County Council (KCC) prepare to do its regular review of local pharmaceutical services.

KCC carries out the review at least every three years to help it and the NHS ensure the county’s pharmacy services are meeting our communities’ needs.

To kick-start this process, we want to hear from Kent residents about:

  • the pharmacy services where you live
  • why and when you visit pharmacies
  • how long it takes you to get there

You can get involved by completing the confidential questionnaire on our Let’s Talk Kent website at www.kent.gov.uk/pharmacyneeds.

You can also request a paper copy by email [email protected] or telephone 03000 421 553.

If you are a pharmacy contractor, or a dispensing practice doctor, you can complete our questionnaires for service providers.

The closing date for all responses is midnight, Friday, 13 December 2024.

Your answers will inform KCC’s draft 2025-2028 Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment, which is expected to go out for public consultation in Spring/Summer 2025 so everyone can have their say.

Kent County Council Director of Public Health, Dr Anjan Ghosh, said: “Pharmacies play a critical role in caring for our communities so it is vital we have an accurate snapshot of how their services are working.

“Knowing how residents are using pharmacies is a key part of building up this picture.

“Please share your views and play a part in shaping Kent’s pharmacy services for the future.”
